The guys started off with a plan. They brought a few key baits and expected to hit a couple quick spots that had been holding good groups of fish. As often happens, the fish had vanished and the boys had to adapt. With only a handful of rods in the boat they made key adjustments in lures, locations, and depths, and finally caught some really nice fish.
The key to this day was adaptation. The plan was to take a lipless crankbait and a jerkbait, targeting fish in less than 3′ of water. The guys ended up adding an underspin, and a worm, in water ranging from 3 to 25 feet deep to find the success they were after.
